 Dr Bohannon is a member of the Neurology Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and board certified as a specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy. He is also a Fellow of the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association. He has over 30 years experience with patients with neurologic disorders and published over 100 papers with a neurologic focus. He contributed to the Neuromuscular Preferred Patterns of the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice. He teaches in this area in a university setting.
Dr Bohannon is a member of the Geriatrics Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. He served for five years as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy. He has over 30 years experience with geriatric patients and has published over 100 papers with a geriatric focus.
Dr Bohannon has published over 300 papers with a focus on tests and measures. He is known for his expertise in the measurement of muscle performance. He teaches in this area in a university setting.
Dr Bohannon has published several dozen papers focusing on mobility and gait. He has consulted with industry and with the legal community in this area. He teaches mobility, patient handling and gait in a university setting.
